Interim, Inc.’s annual staff recognition and training day brings together team members from across our programs to celebrate achievements, promote team cohesion, and reinforce our organizational values. This staff recognition event highlights employee excellence, awards outstanding service, and creates opportunities for professional development and engagement.
2025 Staff Recognition Event Highlights
On June 10, Interim Inc. staff gathered at the Hacienda Hay & Feed in Carmel Valley for our annual Staff Recognition and Training Day—a day dedicated to appreciation, recognition, and camaraderie.
The event featured team-building activities, lunch, games, gifts, a photo booth, and an agency-wide singalong. Executive Director Rhiyan Quiton delivered his annual State of the Agency address, highlighting key accomplishments over the past year, including:
- Over 50 new staff hires
- Expansion of housing development and property management infrastructure
- Increased retention incentives, staff training, and benefits
- Continued growth of the Assertive Community Treatment team
- Implementation of psychiatric advanced directives
- Over $15 million secured in funding for Marina Kai Apartments
- Major improvements to IT systems, cybersecurity, and finance tools
- Dozens of staff promotions, certifications, and success stories
Dr. Quiton emphasized Interim’s resilience and teamwork, stating:
“What’s compelling about Interim is our response to adversity—our resilience and perseverance… it’s doing the work even when it’s hard, because we know who it benefits.”
Honoring Years of Dedication
Staff were recognized for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30 years of service. Special recognition was given to Susan Brier, honored for 30 years of commitment to the agency and its mission.
2025 Staff Awards
Two major awards were presented to honor outstanding contributions:
- Exceptional Service Award: Roselyn Singh was recognized for her excellence in finance, attention to detail, problem-solving, and commitment to the agency’s operations. Her colleagues commended her as “the research queen” and a deeply reliable team member.
- Corey Miller Award: Carmen Aguilar was honored for her compassion, dedication, and leadership across departments. Colleagues noted her ability to support others, navigate complex challenges, and remain deeply committed to Interim’s mission.
The day concluded with a musical tribute led by Susan Brier and Kontrena McPheter, featuring a custom song written by Susan for the occasion!
