Support Recovery from Serious Mental Illness and Supportive Housing
How does Interim differ from its peers?
Many clients have told us, “I struggled to get help for my mental illness until Interim.” Why is that? Interim has learned that treatment is just one aspect of recovery. We try to align our services not only with what our clients need to recover from their mental illness, but also what they need as a human being: not only a safe place to live, but also community, connection and meaningful engagement. Some things many of us take for granted, can be hard for someone living with a mental illness to build and maintain. Our housing provides the stability, safety, and sense of place, needed for people to begin to heal. From there, people begin to be hopeful about their future. Then we provide therapy and treatment services so people can learn to live with their mental illness. We provide opportunities for employment and social interaction so that people can feel engaged meaningfully in their daily life and community.
