As we say hello with anticipation for what 2025 may bring, we at Interim, Inc., take this opportunity to reflect on just some of our major accomplishments in 2024.

Following the Grand Opening of Sun Rose Apartments, our 17-bed transitional and permanent housing development in Salinas, CA, we set our sights on a new housing development project in Marina, CA, aimed at closing the gap of much needed affordable, permanent, and supported housing for adults with mental illness faced with homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness. Marina Kai Apartments will feature 23 studio apartments, a one-bedroom resident manager unit, and will be comprised of essential common spaces and amenities. We are in the initial phases of this project and with the great support of local, state, and federal partners as well as private donors, we are in an optimal position to make Marina Kai Apartments a reality in the future.

In terms of programs and services, we opened an office in Soledad, CA, affording us the ability to better serve the South County community in terms of accessibility to resources, timeliness, and quality care. In partnership with Monterey County Behavioral Health (MCBH), we also expanded our Assertive Community Treatment programs across Monterey County, increasing our capacity to serve more individuals who could benefit from this robust evidence-based outpatient program. Moreover, we began providing mental health services to individuals referred to HOPE Housing, a new program dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward recovery and wellness through providing wrap-around services, fostering stability, and community integration.

Apart from serving more individuals this last year than ever before, we continue to expand our reach to individuals with commercial insurance in three of our programs; allowing us to reach a broader segment of the community and provide much needed support to those who were previously unable to access our services.

We continue to build upon our tremendous peer-based support services. Seventeen peers have been certified as Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists with more peers to follow. In addition, we have established our Peer Advisory Council (PAC), comprised of clients across our programs, creating a centralized venue to provide bi-directional feedback towards action and positive change.

With 2025 on the horizon, we are filled with hope and a continued drive towards excellence; excellence in delivering fruitful service with compassion, advocacy, and community at the forefront. Let us continue to work together as a community to foster a more inclusive and supportive place where, through dedication and collaborative action, we can make impactful and lasting differences in the lives of those affected by behavioral health challenges.

Wishing You a New Year filled with Hope, Health, and Peace.

Sincerely,

Dr. Rhiyan Quiton, PsyD
