Interim's mission is to provide services and affordable housing supporting members of our community
with mental illness in building productive and satisfying lives.

Bridge House

Interim’s Bridge House is a 13-bed state-licensed, transitional residential treatment program to meet the needs of adults living with both mental illnesses and substance abuse and dependency disorders. The program’s goals are focused on building consumers’ knowledge and skills in mental health wellness and alcohol and other drug recovery.

All residents participate in the Bridge House Wellness & Recovery Academy, a day treatment program that provides educational, recreational, and therapeutic activities to help residents achieve their goals in the areas of symptom and medication management, personal functioning, improving social and family relationships and substance abuse recovery. Residents take an active role in the household community and their recovery plans; sharing in program and policy development,  meal preparation and planning, and all other household tasks. The program is located in Monterey and is staffed 24 hours a day.

Clients must be referred by Monterey County Behavioral Health. The program fee is based on a sliding scale, with the maximum  stay of six months.
