About Interim

Interim Inc. is the only agency in Monterey County that provides affordable housing, residential treatment, social support, homeless outreach and support, family outreach, and supported education and employment services for adults who have serious mental illnesses. Our mission is to provide services and affordable housing supporting members of our community with mental illness in building productive and satisfying lives. And we believe that Housing, Healing, and Hope are a Path to Mental Health.

Interim was founded in 1975 by mental health professionals, community members, and client families who saw a need for community-based alternatives to institutional care for people with psychiatric disabilities.

Thirty-five years later, we are the only agency in Monterey County that provides affordable housing, residential treatment, social support, and supported education and employment services for adults with psychiatric disabilities.

Interim is a registered 501 (C)3 non-profit organization (Federal Tax ID # 51-0159122) headquartered in Monterey, California.
