Interim Inc. hosts virtual 12th annual Embracing Mental Health, Wellness and Recovery Conference October 4th

Interim Inc. will host its annual Embracing Mental Health, Wellness and Recovery Conference on October 4, 2022, from 9:00Am-2:00PM . This year’s virtual conference will feature Julie Fast, a bestselling brain health author and researcher. Fast’s presentation is titled From Trauma to Resilience and will lead participants on a transformational day of learning how to get things done when suffering from depression, anxiety, and a lack of focus. Whether you live with a brain illness, care about someone who does, or work as a health care professional in the mental health community, you will find new, dynamic, and immediately useful information in Fast’s lively workshop.

What Participants Can Expect To Learn:

Life changes in an instant. When traumatic events such as the world shutting down for COVID occur, we need to be ready with a plan that allows us to cultivate the resilience needed to weather any storm. This often requires a new way of life when it comes to brain health. Many of us have been overwhelmed by the events of the past few years. Our goal for From Trauma to Resilience is exploring the many ways we can learn from the stress of the past to create a more stable future. We will answer the question, “How can we turn the events of the past few years into personal change that ultimately leads to helping others who are in a crisis?” The day’s interactive presentations will encourage the participant to dig deep and find that inner core of creativity, productivity and strength they can then use to create the life of their dreams, no matter what happens in the outer world.

Fast is the bestselling author of Take Charge of Bipolar Disorder, Loving Someone with Bipolar Disorder, Getting it Done When You’re Depressed and OMG, That’s Me! Vol 2. She is the world’s top bipolar disorder blogger with over 15 million views of her Bp Magazine and Psychology Today blogs. Fast was the original consultant for the Claire Danes character on Homeland and she regularly appears on TV and podcasts to talk about brain health.  Fast was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and a psychotic disorder, also called schizoaffective disorder in 1995.
