Interim gathers its staff in June each year for staff training day. In addition to providing training, the event is an opportunity for staff to connect and be acknowledged for their hard work, dedication, and service to the agency throughout the year. Steven Goings, MSW, the coordinator for the CSUMB affiliate of the National Coalition Building Institute, provided a Safe Space training to staff. The new Executive Director, Dr. Rhiyan Quiton, provided an encouraging address to staff in attendance, thanking them for their resilience, humility, bravery, dedication, and compassion. When he considers the state of the agency, he feels it is in ‘great hands’.
Judith Gonzalez won the coveted Corey Miller Award and Ivan Robledo won the Exceptional Service Award for their exemplary service as employees, demonstrating hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm.
