Interim clients and other community members attended Interim’s annual holiday lunch on Thanksgiving Day. Volunteers helped transport and serve 250 meals and provided musical entertainment during the November 24th lunch. Interim returned to in-person meals this year. For the past two years, due to the pandemic, meals were served in to-go boxes. Idalia Matthews, SEES Program Director, said “people were really excited to return to in-person lunches. They look forward to them every year.”
Interim would like to thank everyone who volunteered to help transport and serve food. We couldn’t do this without your assistance! Coastal Roots Hospitality has partnered with Interim to prepare holiday meals for the past three years! Markon Cooperative Inc. also donated fresh produce for the meal, and Granite Construction generously donated $2,000 to support expenses! A special thanks to Escape Room 831 for helping us store prepared food before the dinner! Between our volunteers, and the support of our local business community, we are able to provide truly memorable holiday meals to our clients.
