Interim's mission is to provide services and affordable housing supporting members of our community
with mental illness in building productive and satisfying lives.

Sandy Shores

Sandy Shores provides permanent, affordable housing for 28 homeless adults living with psychiatric disabilities in Marina next to the Shelter Cove program. The housing is provided in two- and four-bedroom units. Each resident has a private bedroom and shares a common living area.
A community room is available for social activities and support groups. Sandy Shores works to facilitate a sense of community among its residents and features a variety of self-help groups, peer counseling, and social activities.
Sandy Shores’ green house provides recreational gardening opportunities for residents, and  a welcome supply of vegetables and herbs.
Interim provides case management, including needs assessment, development of an individualized plan, mental health services, emergency intervention, placement services, help with daily living skills, and assistance connecting with other agency and community resources. Staff is available to help transport residents to doctor appointments and personal activities such as grocery shopping, but residents are encouraged to be self-sufficient.
