Supportive Housing
Interim develops affordable housing for individuals with serious mental illness because our clients can’t achieve satisfying lives without access to affordable housing.
According to the 2011 Homeless Census for Monterey County, the majority of adults with a serious mental illness are very low-income and on public assistance. The average Social Security Income of a single disabled individual in the Monterey-Salinas area is $850 per month, and the current Fair Market Rent of a studio apartment in Monterey County is $868 per month! Disabled adults simply can’t afford to live in Monterey County.
We offer a wide range of housing options, from transitional supportive housing for our clients who need to attain stability to permanent supportive housing for our clients who can manage independently.
