Interim, Inc., a private nonprofit organization providing support services, housing and treatment for adults with mental illness in Monterey County, is hoping to provide much-needed Thanksgiving and Christmas meals as well as goodie bags with supplies to more than 350 of our clients. These goodie bags will be filled with such things as flashlights, hand sanitizers and more.
To do that, Interim must raise $5,000 by Nov. 10, 2020, in time for the holidays. So far, some of our partners have generously offered to help. For example, Coastal Roots Hospitality and its three restaurants — Rio Grill, Tarpy’s Roadhouse, and Montrio Bistro — is donating all the labor and supplies, cooking all the meals and packaging up meals for the Interim Inc. team to deliver on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. This is a huge cost savings for Interim, allowing us to serve all of our clients. We are very grateful for their hard work and support and thank them for their service to the community. In addition, Goodwill Central Coast is donating brand-new socks to be included in each goodie bag to make sure everyone stays warm. Even with these generous donations from our partners, we still need funds to purchase food and goodie bags supplies. We believe that $5,000 will help us serve all of our clients during a very difficult period in our community. Something as simple as a holiday meal and a goodie bag goes a long way to help our clients feel supported, boosts their self-worth and make them feel a part of the larger community. Every dollar helps in reaching our goal. Please support our cause. Thank you for your support and generous donation. For more information, call (831) 649-4522 or go to www.interiminc.org.
