Interim to Hold Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Bridge House May 12th

Interim, Inc. invites the community to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new and expanded facility for its Bridge House residential treatment program, which serves adults with a mental illness and a substance abuse disorder (dual-diagnosis).

Several years in the making, at a total cost of $4,134,730, the new residential facility will have 14 beds, be centrally located to serve the entire County in Marina, and serve an estimated 40 clients per year. The site will also be home to the Bridge House Academy, a structured day rehabilitation program, and will serve 25 clients per day. Services will be offered to residents of our neighboring Shelter Cove housing in addition to Bridge House residents, and serve an estimated 70 clients per year.

Once complete, this project will dramatically improve and expand transitional residential treatment for individuals with a substance abuse disorder and a mental illness (dual-diagnosis) services in Monterey County. We project construction will be complete in January 2018 and hope to occupy the property by March 2018.

Moving Bridge House to Marina will also allow us to convert the old Bridge House facility into a second short-term crisis residential treatment program that will serve the Monterey Peninsula. This additional program will serve an estimated 170 people per year.
