Interim Joins The AIM for Mental Health Walk and Rally

Nearly 400 people turned out for the third annual AIM for Mental Health Walk and Rally, 42 of whom were Interim clients!  The walk was held at Lover’s Point in Pacific Grove.

The mission of AIM for Mental Health is to raise money for mental health research for children, teens, and young adults; to raise awareness of the tremendous increase in mental health disorders in our nation’s youth; and to eliminate stigma surrounding mental illness.

AIM for Mental Health received a grant that paid for many mental health consumers, including Interim clients, to take part in the walk. In addition to the walk, there were resource tables where community members could get information on various service providers.

This year, walkers were also lucky enough to be treated to a solo rock concert by Santa Cruz native James Durbin, a former American Idol contestant.
