Each year, Interim collects small items for holiday stockings to distribute to homeless adults and other housing clients.
This year, we anticipate packing approximately 250 stockings with items like flashlights, socks, fleece blankets, knit hats, snacks, toothpaste, toothbrushes and other hygiene items.
For some clients, these may be the only gifts they receive this Christmas. For this reason, they are an important annual reminder, from us to them, that they are important!
A special thanks is owed to Wendy Cohn and Maureen Lavengood for taking on the monumental task of assembling these bags!
So far, donations from Whole Foods, Trader Joes and Drs. Philip Bhaskar, Monterey Oral Surgery, and Enrique Tuesta, Artise Dental, have helped offset some of the cost of these bags, but we still need approximately $2500 from the community to cover our remaining costs.
