That’s why each year, on Thanksgiving and Christmas, Interim’s OMNI Resource Center organizes two holiday dinners serving over 100 people! The Center is open to all people who experience mental health challenges and the dinners serve not only residents of our housing, but many visitors of the center who may be homeless, reside in board and care homes, or, for whatever reason, are unable to spend the holidays with family or friends.
Volunteers and donations of food are always needed to make these lunches successful! We also need people who are willing to bake turkeys, hams and pies at home and bring them to the Pajaro Wellness Center on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day! Because of the small size of the kitchen, it is impossible for us to cook all of the food the same day!

- (6) 6-lb. 5-oz. jars of Ocean Spray cranberry sauce
- (20) 40-oz. cans of yams
- (8) 1-lb. bags of marshmallows
- (16) 50-oz. cans of cream of mushroom soup
- (8) 24-oz. French fried onions
- (16) 14-oz. cans of evaporated milk
- (24) 12-oz. boxes of stuffing mix
- (4) 49.5-oz. cans of chicken broth
- (24) 1-lb. packages of butter
- (8) cans of whipped cream
By Friday, November 16th
- (10) 12-lb. spiral sliced hams
- (8) 32-oz. blocks of Velveeta original cheese
- (4) 2-lb. frozen bell pepper strips
- (8) 10-oz. shredded carrots
- (8) 7-oz. packages of diced onions
- (4) bunches of celery
- (5) 1-gal. jugs of milk
- (30) pumpkin pies or apple pies
Volunteer Positions
- Cooks: To cook turkey, ham or side dishes.
- Food safety, cooking, & carving instructions, as well as cooking supplies will be provided.
- Turkey will need to be shredded and hams will need to be carved and delivered to OMNI, or pickup arranged in Monterey.
- Side dishes include: macaroni & cheese, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, & stuffing
- Registration: To register people for the event, stamp their hands, and hand out gift bags.
- Ushers: To take people from the check-in table to the seaters
- Seaters: To take people to their seats
- Beverage servers: To staff the beverage station & serve coffee, water, or tea
- Servers: To take plates of food to people who are seated, and to help prepare the to-go dinner boxes
- Dishwashers: To help clean any dishes that are used
- Cleaners: To help clean and reset the furniture in the center
